DESCRIPTION
The vagus nerve is the primary parasympathetic communication between the cardiovascular, pulmonary and digestive systems and the CNS. It also is a prime regulator of the coordination between central mediated systemic inflammatory, glucoregulatory and immune control.
Considerable research has explored techniques which can enhance this communication and the resulting functional alterations. The course discusses the mechanisms of this central/peripheral coordination and details effective techniques to enhance its balance. Participants should be able to appropriately choose the proper clinical circumstances for their use as well as applying them effectively.
