According to the Society for Human Resource Management, 44% of employees reported experiencing burnout. This is particularly true for health professionals. The World Health Organization defines burnout as a “syndrome” that results from “chronic workplace stress.” Building resilience to the effects of stress and burnout are tantamount to the overall well-being of both the individual provider and the workplace environment.
