DESCRIPTION

Headache signs and symptoms in children differ significantly from those in adults. This has resulted in under-diagnosis and even mis-diagnosis with a delay in adequate care. This lecture reviews how the major primary headaches and secondary headaches present in children.
• Understanding the physiological differences between migraine headache, tension type headache and cervicogenic headache in children
• Understanding the impact of multiple factors on headache duration, intensity and frequency
• Understanding multimodal management of headaches in children
