DESCRIPTION
This course establishes a continuum from the patient’s story. Through the implementation of critical thinking and driving clinical reasoning, an achievable plan that considers values and goals related to the individual is created. Key messages incorporated with actions should have congruence and coherence related to treatment options. A psychological informed clinician will quickly discover the power of uncertainty and be comfortable with the challenges that ebb and flow in trenches of clinical life with pain suffers. A few examples of common injuries encountered in the office will be demonstrated. Strengthening the therapeutic alliance allows the guide-by-the-side narratives to resonate while quelling the fix-it approach expectation.
