THIS COURSE IS VALID TOWARDS CCSP CREDENTIALING WITH THE ACBSP
This is a 2-hour presentation addressing the common injuries seen in both the geriatric and pediatric populations. Also covered within the presentation include demographics and incidence of these injuries. Common presentation of pediatric and geriatric injuries and trends in treatment and evaluation of these injuries. The objectives of this class are to educate the student as to the most common injuries facing both pediatric and geriatric athletes, as well as the sport most commonly involved. Students will be able to recognize the pathology of these injuries and patient presentations. The benefits and hazards of athletic activity will be addressed as well as presenting a summary and objectives of pre-participation evaluations. Finally, students will be exposed to a few cultural considerations regarding sports participation or lack thereof.
To obtain the required 100-hours for CCSP application eligibility you must complete all 100-hours and may not repeat course titles / content to count toward the 100-hours.
Live synchronous courses are continually being scheduled and rotated throughout the year.
All registrations are for individual courses and are not available for bundling.
ACBSP CCSP guidelines state it is a postgraduate course.
A chiropractic student may only take up to 10% of the program prior to graduation.
