In today’s complex third-party payer system it is imperative that every provider understands insur-ance coding, billing, and documentation. The first 2 hour part of this seminar is systematized to give you practical steps and tools you can use in your practice the following day. A step-by-step procedure will cover from the initial consultation to treatment. A clear understanding of CPT procedure codes and how they correlate to ICD 10 diagnosis will be given. Proactive steps to avoid fraudulent billing and fre-quent audits will be built into practice protocols. The final 2 hour section of this course will educate the chiropractic physician on all aspects of third-party reimburse-ment. Each individual hour will cover different aspects of documentation and coding required by state law and third-party payers. Special emphasis will be given to Medicare guidelines to assist in lowering error rates in the chiropractic profession.
