DESCRIPTION
Metabolic Syndrome impacts 35 to 40 percent of the U.S. adult population. Healthcare Providers are working with patients every day who are chronically affected. In this seminar, we will define metabolic syndrome and its bidirectional impact with the neuroendocrine immune system, and outline the vital role of proper, targeted nutrition. Additionally, we will review various conditions related to metabolic syndrome; such as, PMOS, sleep apnea, CVD, sexual health, Type II diabetes, etc., giving nutritional protocols. We will wrap up with a clinically relevant step-by-step approach for metabolic syndrome to develop nutritional care strategies based on history, physical examination and lab orders (interpretations).
