Northeast College of Health Sciences is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal.

For centuries, Gross Anatomy has provided modern medicine with a strong foundation of exploration, information gathering, and research. Through exploration and precise palpation of prosected cadavers, this class offers massage and manual therapists advanced understanding of macroscopic regional anatomy, with focus on the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, neural and lymphatic systems. Regional areas include the spine and pelvis, with focus on the hip joint in another gross anatomy class devoted to the lower extremity. Learners will conduct cadaver palpation and exploration to their level of comfort in a medical gross anatomy lab setting, with guidance from science faculty while using proper safety equipment, techniques and practices. A learning experience in the CARL Lab using computed learning technology will precede the cadaveric lab, providing learners with a digital dissection experience.
