This class will address many aspects of Chiropractic Assistant– Patient communication. Learning objectives are as follows:
1. Students will understand the importance of their patient communications, the challenges to its success and the consequences of its failure.
2. Students will learn about the various personality types; how to identify a patient’s personality type and how to most successfully communicate with the different types.
3. Students will learn about Motivational Interviewing and how to apply it in practice to guide patients to make positive changes to improve their health.
4. Students will learn how to maximize the effectiveness of their patient communications and how to overcome some specific communication challenges.
