DESCRIPTION
This two-hour interactive lecture focuses on enhancing the assessment and function of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and its associated musculature. The course begins with an in-depth functional anatomy overview of the TMJ, discussing the action and palpation points for the four main muscles of mastication and accessory muscles like the suprahyoid and buccinator. The lecture then transitions to practical skills, teaching quick and easy movement assessments followed by corrective exercise strategies designed to improve TMJ muscle function.
