DESCRIPTION

The traditional education many sports doctors receive when providing physical rehabilitative services to the athlete, dancer or fitness conscious individual focuses on the biological aspect of the patient’s injury. It is equally important that the clinician address the psychosocial elements of their care as well.
This module will discuss a communication technique that can be utilized when discussing such issues as anxiety, body image, stress, and family dynamics that may contribute to the patients’ injury and healing ability.
