DESCRIPTION
This course will provide usable information that will enable the chiropractic practitioner to recognize potential risks for anyone spending time engaged in the “Human-Computer Interface”. A deeper discussion on recognizing true sources of median nerve entrapment and the folly of assuming wrist and hand pain is always carpal tunnel syndrome. Discuss mechanisms behind certain presenting conditions, and make usable recommendations to limit the risk exposure to patients. The material covers the system of “man and machine”, in this case the computer environment, including the selection and adjustment of office chairs, variations in monitor display design and positioning, keyboard and mouse use, lighting, glare and more.
