DESCRIPTION
Musculoskeletal rehabilitating of endurance athletes can be a challenge and is different than other categories of sport. Physical and mental aspects of sport must be managed during rehabilitation and the effects of age, years of training, and training load must be considered. The importance of understanding athlete choices of gear and assessing it for proper fit and its relationship to rehabilitation will be presented. The athlete’s use of nutrition, hydration, supplements, and doping are important for the doctor or coach to understand. This program will cover these topics.
