DESCRIPTION
This two-hour course will focus on teaching the basic principles you should follow when testifying in a deposition or trial. The chiropractor will learn the process of attorney engagement, formulating opinions, subpoenas, discovery, policies, and scheduling the deposition. Participants will understand the difference between a fact witness and expert witness. Qualifications to become an expert witness will be learned. Skills for testifying during direct examination and cross examination will be reviewed. The preparation required before formulating an opinion, sitting for deposition, and testifying in trial will be described. Do’s and don’ts for affective testimony will be taught. Many tips from experience regarding testifying will be shared.
