Discuss research on the systems and conditions involved in head injuries. At the end of the presentation attendees should understand the pathophysiology, occurrence, and differential diagnosis of cranial hemorrhages, sports-related concussion, cervical, vestibulocochlear, ocular, orthostatic, and temporal mandibular conditions that may occur during head injuries. Additionally, providers will learn specialized assessments for these associated conditions, learn how to complete the Sports Concussion Assessment Tool 6 (SCAT-6), the Sports Concussion Office Assessment Tool 6 (SCOAT6), Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test, and baseline assessment tools that may be utilized during the return-to-learn and return-to-activity process.
