DESCRIPTION
In this course, we are going to discuss evaluation and management of cervical spine disorders with emphasis on four basic treatment classifications, use of clinical prediction rules (“CPR’s”) as a guide in determining “right” approach, along with a brief discussion of the proposed mechanisms of each intervention.
Objectives:
Discuss incidence, prevalence, and economic impact of neck pain.
Discuss current guidelines and classification systems.
Present the four categories of classification along with the practical application of examining the patient to arrive at appropriate CPR and discuss mechanism of proposed treatment approach consistent with the CPR.
