DESCRIPTION
This is a 12-hour course broken into 2 separate 6-hour sections. Each section can be taken independently.

The autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls all visceral function. Multiple and various symptoms can manifest when the ANS loses control of homeostasis, the most notable being hypertension, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain, all of which are promoted by sympathetic hyperactivity. Stress, a lack of sleep, sedentary living, dietary inflammation, and obesity all reduce heart rate variability, which manifests as sympathetic hyperactivity. This class will focus on how manual care and healthy lifestyle choices can restore balance to the autonomic nervous system.
