DESCRIPTION
This hands-on course will review the science and clinical application of extracorporeal shockwave therapy, ESWT, in the general chiropractic and sports practice. This course serves three purposes. First, it is a foundational course in both focused and radial ESWT to assist the attendee in the selection of the type of unit that best fits their practice model. Second, it will highlight current best practices and review the published energy signatures of different ESWT units so regardless of the unit the clinician will be able to get the best outcomes. Finally, clinical application to improve competency will be taught in a lab format for pain management, tendinopathy, osteoarthritis, disc
syndromes and post-surgical care will be presented. Clinical case studies will be used to demonstrate integration of ESWT with CMT, active care and other modalities. Finally, coding and billing for these modalities will be presented.
