DESCRIPTION
Abdominal and pelvic surgeries—whether related to endometriosis, cesarean section, or other gynecological procedures—often result in the development of adhesions that impact core function, movement, and long-term recovery. This lecture explores the biomechanics, physiology, and clinical implications of abdominal adhesions and how they interfere with core coordination, spinal stability, and musculoskeletal health. Attendees will learn to identify signs of restricted tissue mobility, screen for functional core defi cits, and integrate rehabilitative strategies that promote recovery and restore intra-abdominal pressure regulation. This course blends women’s health concepts with functional rehab for providers working with post-surgical patients in all stages of healing.
