In this seminar, Doctors of Chiropractic learn how to modify the spinal manipulation skills learned in chiropractic school for application with babies and young children. The class begins with background information regarding when and why children may need to be adjusted, and what the literature says about the safety of manual therapies in children. Dr. Hewitt then describes what’s unique about the pediatric spine and related soft tissues and explains how to modify spinal techniques for the pediatric patient.
